The story of OILI
The story of our olive oil begins under the Greek sun, on the ancient mountain slopes and olive groves of the Peloponnese, where centuries-old traditions join hands with organic farming methods.
Behind OILI you will find 3 cousins: Hellu, Anna and Juuso. We combined our skills and strength for the love of good food and Greece. For us, this is not just a business, but also our shared journey and a tribute to the memory of our grandmother who loved Greece: appreciating authentic, original and honest food. Each bottle of OILI oil tells a story of friendship, family roots and trust, and especially the desire to share something truly meaningful, healthy and authentic with Finnish homes.
We know our products because we work seamlessly directly with local family farms, without intermediaries.
We have long had the privilege of buying oil directly from Greek producers, who have become our friends over time. Once you get used to good, freshly pressed olive oil, and its nuanced taste and aroma, you won't settle for anything less. Good olive oil is not only the foundation of Greek cuisine, but also a source of health. The Greeks call their oil a medicine, and not without reason.
Local small producers are proud of the products of their family farms and oil is their national treasure. That is why they are also very happy to sell their products with their stories directly to us Finns instead of the oil being refined in the faceless chains of large operators far from the original taste world. It is a great pleasure and honor to be able to cooperate with them.
Over the years, we have also noticed that more and more Finns value these things in their kitchens, authentic, original, unprocessed food and oil that brings flavor and meaning to cooking. That is why we find it important and valuable to share this oil with other Finns, just as it is, honest, transparent and produced with love.
Every drop of oil from local small producers is carefully pressed from fresh olives at their peak, resulting in a cold-pressed, unfiltered olive oil that retains all of its natural antioxidants, flavors, and nutrients.
We import the oil to Finland directly from farmers, so that you can get it just as authentic as it should be, straight from the heart of Greek cuisine.

Hellu, Anna & Juuso

Professional chef Juuso has been building his career in the kitchens of prestigious restaurants for almost 15 years. When he is not in the kitchen, he can be found touring southern Europe in a van and when he returns, his van is full of OILI, wines, cheeses & pastas, not to mention inspiration.
"OILI is a way to combine my passion for food and the best ingredients. I'm a big fan of olives and my love for olives started when I was one year old - that's when I was caught secretly eating Kalamata olives in the kitchen. I was such a picky eater when I was little that I wouldn't have approved of anything but Kalamata olives."
